Cuban residents and solidarity friends in The Bahamas reject the inclusion of Cuba on the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.

Nassau, June 5, 2024. Cuban residents and solidarity friends in The Bahamas spoke out against the decision of the United States Department of State to keep Cuba on its spurious list of state sponsors of terrorism.

They describe the fact as unfair and unfounded, highlighting Cuba's historical role as a victim of terrorism and its unwavering commitment to the fight against this scourge, both in its territory and in support of other nations.

In the issued statement they demand the exclusion of Cuba from this list and the end of the coercive economic measures that accompany it, emphasizing that these actions obey political interests and distort Cuban reality. Likewise, they reaffirm support for the Cuban people in the defense of their self-determination and sovereignty, and demand the end of the blockade imposed for more than six decades.
