Kuwait, October 8, 2017. The Cuban Embassy in Kuwait and members of the Cuban medical brigade paid a well-deserved tribute to Ernesto Che Guevara on the 50th anniversary of his death in Bolivia and 20 years since his remains were transferred to the island.
Yuliagni La O López, member of the medical brigade presented an audiovisual material that gathers the life of the heroic guerrilla and read some poems inspired by his legendary figure.
The act also reminded the hero of Yaguajay, Camilo Cienfuegos Gorriarán, whose life joined Che's in the revolutionary struggle against the tyranny of Fulgencio Batista.
Every October, Cubans remember these two great men with days dedicated to their memory. This year these events are celebrated for the first time without the physical presence of the eternal companion of Camilo and Che, the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
The event was chaired by the Cuban ambassador in Kuwait Andrés González Garrido, who emphasized the validity of Che's thinking and his revolutionary integrity and which is an example to be followed for all Cubans.
