Beirut, July 29, 2019.- The Cuban Embassy in Lebanon hosted the celebration in this country of the 66th anniversary of the assault to the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.
The event was attended by members of the Cuban community living in Lebanon, as well as Palestinians and Lebanese graduates of Cuban universities and members of the diplomatic mission.
The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba, Raúl E. Madrigal Cárdenas, highlighted the profound significance of the date for the Cuban people, since it synthesizes the values of rebellion, sacrifice and independence that characterize the Cuban people.
During the day, the Cuban community and friends expressed their rejection of the US Blockade on the island through video-messages that will be sent to the official accounts of the US government.
