Beirut, March 26, 2021. The community of Cubans living in Lebanon is joining the worldwide campaign for the lifting of the blockade imposed by the United States against the island for almost 60 years.
Given the impossibility of organizing a caravan or march to demand the cessation of the hostile policy against the island, due to the complex political situation Lebanon is going through, the Cuban residents have decided to make a video with speeches and photos denouncing the damage caused by the blockade to the Cuban people and demanding its immediate elimination.
The multimedia, which will be disseminated on social networks, will be a demonstration of the rejection by Cubans living abroad of this cruel policy that seeks to surrender the Cuban people to hunger and disease.
The elimination of the blockade is even more important today in the face of the global pandemic of Covid-19. Washington limits the arrival to the Cuban people of equipment, medicines, supplies and raw materials that are indispensable to fight the pandemic.
The action of the Cubans in Lebanon is in addition to the world caravan against the blockade that will take place on March 27 and 28, with the participation of organizations and citizens from different sectors in more than 50 countries. (Embacuba Libano)
