Vienna, September 3, 2018. Cubans living in Austria began to participate in the Popular Consultation process of the Constitutional reform project, through the Nation and Emigration website. The Stand of Cuba in the traditional Festival "VolksstimmeFest", organized annually by the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ) and held on 1st and 2nd September in Vienna; it was an opportune occasion for ample information on this process to be offered by the Embassy of Cuba in Austria and the Association of Cuban Residents in this country "Cuba Va"; to the hundreds of participants to this event, which brings together leftist parties and movements in Europe.
Copies of the Constitution project were distributed and information on the main proposed modifications to the Cuban Constitution was offered. The video tutorial was also disseminated, which explains in a simple way the steps to follow to participate in this process "online". The compatriots showed great interest in the subject and recognized the importance of being able to participate and contribute with their criteria and suggestions to the future of the country.
The event also continued to promote participation in the XIII Meeting of Cuban Residents in Europe, to be held in Brussels, from October 19 to 21, 2018.
