Port of Spain, December 28th, 2019. The Cuban community in Trinidad and Tobago celebrated with the Cuban Embassy the Triumph of the Revolution and the advent of the New Year. The occasion was propitious to officially present the new head of Consular Affairs, Patricia Pita Calderón.
The main words were given by the Cuban Ambassador, Tania Diego Olite, who congratulated everyone present and highlighted the courage shown by the Cuban people during 2019 in light of the intensified measures of the US blockade against Cuba.
On the other hand, the Counsellor Patricia Pita Calderón explained the significance of the participation of the children of Cubans residing in Trinidad and Tobago in the contest entitled “The Golden Age” put forth by the Cuban Embassy. She also pointed out that the awarded works will be announced on January 28, 2020 on the occasion of the celebration of the 167th Anniversary of the birth of Our National Hero, José Martí.
