Beirut, December 16, 2018. Cubans residents in Lebanon along with Lebanese and Palestinans graduated in Cuba, celebrated the 60th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, in a gathering at the Embassy of the Caribbean nation in this capital.
The Cuban Ambassador, Alexander Pellicer, thanked those present for their support and love for Cuba and stressed the importance of maintaining the unity of Cubans. He remarked there have been 60 years of struggle, sacrifice and resistance of the Cuban people against a powerful enemy that continues trying to destroy the Revolution, but despite the blockade and the economic war we continue working to build a better country with all and for the benefit of all.
Pellicer referred to the political will of the Cuban government to continue working to achieve a better relationship with Cuban emigration based on respect and dialogue.
During the celebration, the head of the Cuban mission called Cuban-Lebanese children to send works related to our National Hero in greeting to the 166th anniversary of his birth. The convocatory will include any artistic manifestation that refers to what is considered the precursor of the human values of the Cuban Revolution.
The celebration finalized with the rhythm of "Añoranza por la Conga", by Surcaribe musical group, and the traditional "Caldosa" cubana. (Embacuba Líbano)
