Cuba's medical brigade goes to Kuwait to combat Covid-19 pandemic

Havana, June 5-  A Cuban medical brigade from the Henry Reeve internationalist contingent traveled yesterday to Kuwait to contribute to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in that Persian Gulf country.

The group made up of 96 doctors, 198 nurses and four specialists in other healthcare areas will join another brigade of 36 professionals from that branch that are already serving in that nation at the request of Kuwait's government, reported Cuban television.

Cuba increased its solidarity in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Africa by also sending to Guinea Conakry 11 physicians and ten nurses from ten Cuban provinces. Indeed, Africa was the first continent to receive Cuban medical collaboration 57 years ago.

There are already 34 Henry Reeve's brigades helping countries in the fight against the health emergency that affects 184 nations of the world.
