Addis Ababa, May 22, 2026.- Lucas Domingo Hernández, Ambassador of Cuba to the African Union, participated as a panelist in the high-level dialogue “Weaving Presences: High-level Africa-CELAC Dialogue on Diaspora Cooperation, Memory, Justice and Cultural Diplomacy within the Framework of African Heritage Month”, held on May 22, 2026 at the headquarters of the African Union.
During the first session, dedicated to “Historical Memory, Restorative Justice and Restorative Approaches”, the Ambassador referred to the most relevant aspects of Cuba and cooperation with Africa within the framework of South-South cooperation, highlighting the historical ties of solidarity and the Island's firm commitment to strengthening relations between Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean.
