Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba signs book of condolences at the Lebanese Embassy in Havana

Beirut, August 10, 2020. The Cuban Deputy Prime Minister, Ricardo Cabrisas, attended this morning the signing of the book of condolences opened by the Lebanese Embassy in Havana, for the victims and material damage caused by the explosion in the port of Beirut on August 4.

On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vice Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra attended the Lebanese diplomatic mission, expressing his condolences and dismay for the fatalities and material damage caused by the explosions that recently occurred in Beirut.

Previously, the President of the Republic Miguel Díaz-Canel and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla had expressed their deepest condolences to the Lebanese government and people for the tragedy.

On August 4, a strong explosion in the port of Beirut shook the entire city, causing significant human and material losses. Investigations to find out what caused this unfortunate tragedy are ongoing. (Embacuba Lebanon)
