Despite May 1st marked by pandemic, Cuban Embassy in Liberia celebrates the date.

Monrovia, May 1, 2021 - With the conviction that we will move forward and succeed in every task of our Revolution, the Cuban Embassy in Liberia celebrates May 1st virtually, for the second consecutive year.

On this occasion, one of its activities consisted in the participation in the International Virtual Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, convened by the Central Cuban Trade Union in conjunction with the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples and political, mass and social organizations, where the digital platform was the main stage.

The event was an opportunity for the staff of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia, headed by its head of mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, to once again ratify its condemnation of the U.S. blockade, a failed Cold War policy that still constitutes the most prolonged and comprehensive economic, commercial and financial siege against any country.

The event was attended by friends from different parts of the world as a sign of support and recognition to the Revolution and its founders. Messages from unions and organizations from all over the world came to the event in rejection of the blockade and in recognition of Cuban health workers. Under the slogan "United we shall overcome", voices from all continents were once again united for the cause of the Cuban people.

Proud of the solidarity message of the president of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Organization, the collective of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia raises its voices and shouts "Solidarity against the Blockade", "United We Shall Overcome", "Happy May Day".
