Addis Ababa, January 23, 2026.- The Ambassador of Burundi to Addis Ababa, Willy Nyamitwe, paid a courtesy visit to his Cuban counterparts, the Ambassador of Cuba to the African Union, Lucas Domingo Hernández Polledo, and the Ambassador of Cuba to Ethiopia, Meylin Suárez Álvarez, reaffirming the spirit of reciprocity and friendship that characterizes relations between the two nations.
The meeting took place at the Cuban diplomatic mission and allowed for a frank exchange on issues of common interest in the African and multilateral context. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation, political dialogue, and coordination in regional and international forums, particularly within the African Union.
