A documentary is screened in Trinidad and Tobago in homage to the victims of the attack on the Cubana de Aviación plane in Barbados.

Port of Spain, November 11, 2022. The first part of the documentary "Cubana 455 Chronicle of October 6", by director Enrique Berumen, was screened at the headquarters of the Insurance and Banking Workers Union in this capital, in an activity organized by the political leader of the Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) David Abdulah. The event was attended by members of unions, the Trinidad & Tobago Friends of Cuba Solidarity Association (TTFC), as well as representatives of the Cuban Medical Brigade and the Embassies of Cuba and Venezuela.

The documentary offers extensive information on this crime through the use of archive images that contextualize the event and interviews with relatives of the deceased. After its screening, David Abdullah expressed solidarity with the Cuban Revolution and the victims of this terrorist act and offered historical details about the arrest in Trinidad and Tobago of its material authors, who acted under the orders of the terrorists Luis Posada Carriles, Orlando Boch and the CIA. This rejection was also joined by Álvaro Sánchez Cordero, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, who also explained elements related to the extradition requested by the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela of the terrorist Luis Posada Carrilles, who was not finally convicted of these acts.

The Ambassador of Cuba Tania Diego Olite, thanked the invitation extended and the possibility of paying tribute to the victims of the cruel attack. She added that the terrorist actions against Cuba continue to this day, and cited examples of ultra-right Cuban organizations that act with impunity from the United States, encouraging violent and terrorist actions against civilian and economic targets in the country. Finally, he denounced the fact that Cuba, a victim for more than sixty years of these actions, has been included in the arbitrary and unilateral list of countries that supposedly support terrorism.
