Excited by the news, determined to take advantage of this unique opportunity for self-improvement, and somewhat nostalgic for the separation of the family. So we could describe Edvida Davies and Francis Maweah Jr. the two young Liberians who in this academic year 2017-2018 will begin their medical studies in Cuba. With them there are 5 Liberians who are being trained in the Greater Antilles, all of them in the medical area.
The team of officials of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia, after carrying out the corresponding process of legalization, translation and certification of the documents, held an exchange with the future students. At the meeting both young people read and signed the Code of Ethics of foreign students in Cuba. In the same way they inquired about the Cuban reality, forms, habits, customs, culture and other elements that were provided to them in diaphanous and cordial dialogue.
