The Electoral Commission of the 72nd Constituency of the Cuban Embassy in Lebanon is constituted
At the headquarters of the Cuban mission in Beirut, the solemn act of constitution of the Electoral Commission of the 72nd constituency of the Cuban Embassy in the Lebanese Republic took place, as well as the signing of the oath by its members, who will be in charge of the consultation process of the Family Code Bill.
The new Family Code is inclusive, respectful of international treaties and recognizes the rights of each person in the family environment. It is a reflection of the Cuban reality. It is a project resulting from the participation of all Cubans and reflects the plurality and diversity of families, inclusion, equality and non-discrimination.
This popular consultation process demonstrates the will of the Cuban State to continue promoting a broad democratic participation of Cuban society in the country's decisions, and is based on the experience gained in the Constitutional Referendum successfully held in 2019.
