Addis Ababa, October 20, 2023. Every October 20, the people of Cuba celebrate the Day of Cuban Culture, a date that marks the emergence of a musical-literary piece, which sealed the national history of the Cuban Revolution.
155 years ago, "La Bayamesa" was born by the hand of the poet and revolutionary from Bayamo, Pedro Perucho Figueredo Cisnero, a war song that was testimony of the struggle carried out to get rid of the domination of the Spaniards and that became a national symbol of Cuba.
The members of the Cuban Embassy in Ethiopia in homage to the date, gathered in front of the Cuban flagpole, sang the lyrics of the National Anthem, a sign of pride that this march defines our identity of struggle and the willingness to give our lives for our nation.
