Addis Ababa, March 8, 2023. The Embassy of Cuba in Ethiopia welcomed at its headquarters the African diplomatic corps and office’s directors of the African Union, to thank Africa for its permanent support to Cuba in its fight against the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States.
The Ambassador of Cuba to the African Union, Lourdes A. Marrero Oro, stressed that in the recently concluded 36th AU Summit for the fourteenth consecutive time was adopted a resolution rejecting the blockade of the United States and thanked those present for the support that Cuba receives every year from this continental organization.
The event was attended by the African diplomatic corps accredited in Addis Ababa and Dr. Monique Nsanzabaganwala, Vice President of the AU Commission and Mohammed Belhocine, Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of this continental organization.
