Geneva, October 28, 2025. The members of the Geneva branch of the Swiss-Cuba Solidarity Association issued a forceful public declaration of support for the Cuban people and rejection of this criminal policy, on the eve of the debate and vote in the United Nations General Assembly, on October 28-29, on the resolution presented by Cuba condemning the United States economic, commercial, and financial blockade.
The Declaration strongly condemns the escalation of aggression by the United States government against Cuba, particularly the campaign to discredit Cuban medical collaboration, the pressure on several governments to refrain from condemning the blockade at the UN, and the unjustified inclusion of our country on the list of countries that allegedly co-sponsor terrorism.
The Declaration also expresses a firm commitment to strengthening the "Cuba without a blockade" campaign being carried out in Switzerland, with the aim of denouncing the complicity of the pharmaceutical industry, the banking system, and the media in the policy of hostility against Cuba, as well as carrying out citizen actions to end the blockade.
The Swiss-Cuba Association also saluted from Geneva the heroic people of Cuba, who, despite harassment, have managed to resist the onslaught of the blockade and continue to put human beings at the center of their priorities.
