Addis Ababa, July 1st, 2018. The Ethio-Cubans are currently organizing the 40th anniversary of their first arrival to Cuba. The celebrations are linked to the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Ethiopian and Cuban troops against the Somali invasion in 1978.
On the 30th June took place a Gala Dinner to express appreciation to the Ethio-Cubans from all around the world for their contributions to the foundraising campaign in order to support all the activities included in the program of celebrations.
The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia was in attendance and during her speech, she highlighted the pride of Cuba for the existance of taht large community known as the Ethio-Cubans which managed to preserve common values that attach them to Cuba forever.
