Addis Ababa, October 13, 2025.- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Dr. Gedion Timothewos, held talks today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.
During the meeting, both sides reflected on the fifty years of friendship and solidarity that have characterized relations between Ethiopia and Cuba and expressed their willingness to continue strengthening the historic ties of cooperation between the two countries.
The Ministers exchanged views on regional, continental and international issues of common interest and agreed on the importance of expanding economic and trade ties and bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
Minister Rodríguez Parrilla highlighted the deep ties of friendship that unite Cuba and Ethiopia and reiterated his country's interest in continuing to deepen bilateral relations based on mutual respect and shared benefits.
For his part, minister Gedion emphasized Cuba's historic role in strengthening solidarity between the two peoples and reaffirmed the Ethiopian government's willingness to continue expanding its areas of collaboration with the Caribbean nation.
