Ethiopian student to join medical studies in Cuba

Addis Ababa, August 20, 2024.- The young Ethiopian Kidist Alemneh Tesfaye left tonight for Cuba to join her medical studies at the Cuban Latin American School of Medicine.

The Cuban Embassy together with her family and friends accompanied the young woman in her farewell at Bole International Airport, in Addis Ababa, wishing her the best wishes in this new stage of her life.

Kidist, between mixed feelings of leaving his family behind and the joy of traveling to Cuba, thanked the Cuban representation for the opportunity to continue this dream in the land that also formed his father and uncles.
