Farewell ceremony in honor of H.E. Ambassador Ayele Lire Jijamo

Addis Ababa, October 5, 2025.-The Embassy of Ethiopia in Havana organized a farewell ceremony in honor of His Excellency Ambassador Ayele Lire Jijamo, who recently passed away. The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, ambassadors and diplomats accredited in the country, as well as members of the Ethiopian community residing in Havana.

During the tribute, attendees remembered the valuable legacy of Ambassador Ayele Lire Jijamo, who stood out for his active participation in numerous diplomatic engagements until the end of his life. They also expressed their deepest condolences to his family, friends and the staff of the Embassy of Ethiopia.
