In the margins of his participation in the General Debate of the High-Level Segment of the 73 rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, the President of the Council of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez held a fraternal meeting with Her Excellency Ms. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, President of the Republic of Croatia.
This first meeting between both dignitaries was an excellent chance to reaffirm the good state of the bilateral relations and the willingness to continue strengthening them. The Cuban President expressed his appreciation for the message of congratulations sent by the Croatian President on the occasion of his election as President in April 2018, expressing the desire to strengthen the bonds of friendship between both nations in all areas of interest.
Cuba and Croatia celebrated the 25 th anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations last year. Both countries maintain historic ties having extensive potential and mutual willingness to increase the bonds in economic and commercial sectors.
