First Meeting of Cuban-Canadian Businesswomen celebrated in Canada

First meeting of Cuban-Canadian executive woman was inaugurated in the city of Montreal on March 11. More than 60 people, including a delegation of 22 Cuban executive women, attended the event.

The Canadian side was represented by Ruth Vachon, President of the Quebec Association of Women Entrepreneurs; Erandi Motte, Director of International Markets of the Montreal Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Anne Thoussand, Director of Invest in Quebec.

During the meeting, presentations were made by Tania Aguiar, Vice President of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce; Susana Malmierca, Consul General of Cuba in Montreal; Yanelis Veloz, Representative of Cubana de Aviación in Canada and Martha Casanova, Commercial Director of Apicuba.

As part of the event, both sides identified business opportunities on their corners. Likewise, they held exchanges at the working table level, highlighting the biotechnology and tourism sectors.
