Claris Charles, former Ambassador of Grenada to Cuba, spoke on the radio program City Sound to highlight the importance of bilateral relations and reaffirm the value of Caribbean solidarity with the Island. Her participation was noted as a contribution to public reflection on the historical and current ties between the two countries.
During her remarks, Charles emphasized that relations between Grenada and Cuba have been marked by cooperation in key sectors such as health, education, and professional training. The former diplomat pointed out that the friendship between both peoples has strengthened over decades and stands as an example of how regional solidarity can address common challenges.
She further stressed that Cuba has provided consistent support to Grenada, especially in times of need, and that such assistance must be recognized and defended. On the radio program, she insisted that cooperation is not only a matter of governments but also of peoples who share values of social justice and sovereignty.
