The Cuba–Grenada Friendship Association expressed its condolences on the passing of Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdés Menéndez. In a message dated June 24 in Saint George’s, the organization highlighted Valdés’s historic imprint and reaffirmed the bonds of brotherhood that unite both peoples.
As part of the solidarity campaign with Cuba currently taking place in Grenada, a fundraising dinner was held at the Trade Center of Saint George, bringing together government authorities, diplomatic representatives, and members of civil society. St. George, April 10, 2026 — A large-scale solidarity initiative from the Grenadian people toward Cuba was announced on April 9 through Grenada’s national television. The campaign will run from April 14 to May 14, 2026, with a month of concentrated activities across the country.
A meeting was held at the Cuban Embassy in Grenada between officials from the diplomatic mission and members of the Committee of Graduates in Cuba, led by Ambassador Yadirys Echenique Paz, Consul Ariel Pazos Ortiz, and the Committee’s coordinator, Malachy Dottin.
During the meeting, the diplomatic officials provided a detailed briefing on Cuba’s current situation to the former students in attendance, who expressed their concern over the latest escalation in U.S. hostility toward the largest island in the Caribbean.
