Members of the Quebec-Cuba Solidarity Roundtable and Cuban residents in Montreal called this Sunday for the lifting of the economic, financial, and commercial blockade imposed by the United States more than six decades ago.
The demonstrators gathered peacefully, as they do on the last Sunday of every month, in front of the U.S. Consulate in Montreal, carrying Cuban flags and signs expressing support for the Caribbean nation.
They also demanded an end to Washington’s escalating aggression and forcefully declared: “No to war against Cuba!”
Similar mobilizations took place this Sunday in other Canadian cities, including Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Ottawa, reaffirming solidarity with and support for the Cuban people and government during these particularly difficult times.
