Ottawa - On the afternoon of September 29th, Ambassador Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz received the CEO of "Diplomat & International Canada" magazine, Abdel Karim Awwad, at the Embassy of Cuba.
Karim Awwad explained in detail the purpose of the magazine, the type of articles that is published in it, and took the opportunity to praise Cuban culture, its traditions, its people, which is - he pointed out - among the best that a visitor to the Island can find, beyond sun and beach tourism, tobacco, and rum.
For his part, the Ambassador conveyed the willingness to collaborate with the magazine so that future editions may reflect the work of Cuban diplomacy, the cultural richness of the Island, the excellence of its tourism, and the beauty of its people.
Karim Awwad was accompanied by Ülle Baum, Director of Public Relations for the magazine. On the Cuban side, Dany Tur de la Concepción, Second Chief of Mission, was also present.
"Diplomat & International Canada" is a Canadian magazine that focuses on international affairs and foreign policy. It is aimed at readers interested in global issues and Canada's role on the world stage, while also highlighting the diplomatic community within the country. The magazine is based in Ottawa and Vancouver.
