Cuban Ambassador to Grenada, Yadirys Echenique Paz, was received by the Honorable Joseph Andall, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development of Grenada, with whom she held a working meeting.
During the meeting, in which various bilateral issues of common interest were addressed, both parties highlighted the positive state of bilateral relations and expressed their interest in continuing to strengthen cooperation in different areas.
The Cuban diplomat emphasized the historic bonds of friendship that unite the peoples of Cuba and Grenada, while also expressing gratitude for the Caribbean nation's solidarity and support for Cuba's demand for the lifting of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States.
For his part, Foreign Minister Andall, also a member of Parliament, expressed his country's enduring gratitude for Cuba's contribution to the development of the so-called "Spice Island," particularly in sectors such as construction, health, and education.
This year, Cuba and Grenada celebrate the 47th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, which began in 1979. Throughout these decades, the two countries have maintained a relationship characterized by friendship, solidarity, and collaboration in various international forums, reaffirming their commitment to working together for sustainable development and regional integration.
