GRULAC Meeting with the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Dutch Parliament

The Hague, March 19, 2025. Ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic missions from the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States (GRULAC) held a meeting with representatives of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Dutch Parliament. Cuba was represented by Lourdes Escobar Pérez, General Consul.

The President of the aforementioned Committee, Jesse Klaver, led the Dutch delegation and offered welcoming remarks. Also present were Roelien Kamminga, Vice President; Dennis Ram; Daniëlle Hirsch; Eric van der Burg; and Isa Kahraman. The President highlighted elements of the current PPBB foreign policy towards LAC and issues of common interest to both regions.

For her part, the Guatemalan ambassador, GRULAC's current coordinator, spoke about the importance of Latin American Studies programs at Dutch universities, the opportunities to foster ties between GRULAC member countries and the European Union (EU), particularly in trade, investment, and cooperation, as well as various bi-regional initiatives such as CELAC-EU.
