Head of Mission of Cuba in Liberia participates in Swedish National Day.

Monrovia, June 6, 2022 - Representing the Cuban Embassy in Liberia, Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera participated in the celebrations for the Swedish National Day.

At the invitation of the Swedish Ambassador to Liberia Urban Sjostrom, she attended the reception hosted by his Mission on the occasion.

This event is celebrated every year on June 6 in honor of two historical events: The election of Gustav Vasa as king (June 6, 1523) and the adoption of a new constitution (June 6, 1809). It is a public holiday in Sweden.
