Havana, November 28, 2025 - The health worker, Lázara Zuleidis Martínez Acea, presented the monetary donation from the members of the Cuban state mission in Saint Lucia for the victims of Hurricane Melissa. The modest contribution was received by William Díaz Menéndez, general director of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment in Cuba.
The modest contribution is made with the full commitment of health and sports collaborators in Cuba and the Embassy team. The effort is added to the contribution collected by friends of Cuba and a group of Cuban residents to send it soon.
Eastern Cuba suffered the strong blows of Hurricane Melissa and although there were no human losses due to the hard work of the Civil Defense, the material damage was considerable.
The consequences of this natural disaster become more serious due to the criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on our country and the unjust inclusion of Cuba on the List of State Sponsors of Terrorism.
