Monrovia, November 25, 2020 - Four years after Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz embarked on a journey to eternity, the Cuban Embassy in Liberia pays a posthumous tribute to him.
The Commander in Chief, the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, is a permanent symbol of struggle, rebellion and victory and his legacy will always pay for every task to strengthen Socialism and the Revolution.
Recalling his mark on the fourth anniversary of his death, the speakers at the event distinguished the qualities that made Fidel the guide of Cubans, the care he gave to each revolutionary conquest and his attachment to Martí's ideals.
The central words were given by the Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, who who highlighted Fidel Castro's historic leadership and asserted that Cuban men and women are extraordinary heirs of the strategic thinking left to us by the Commander in Chief, and that they have before them the mission of holding the flags of independence, peace and sovereignty, and the commitment to deepen their ideals that are paradigms for the world.
The event was carried out respecting the health protocol and maintaining the respective social distance between the participants, a vital measure to help reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
