Iconic Canada landmarks to be illuminated in the colors of the Cuban flag to celebrate the 80th anniversary of bilateral relations

As part of the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the bilateral relations between Cuba and Canada, several emblematic places in Canada will be illuminated with the colors of the Cuban national flag.

On March 16, the exact date of this anniversary, the Ottawa Sign, a representative monument of the Canadian Capital located in ByWard Market, will be illuminated. Between 6:00 a.m. on March 16 and 5:59 a.m. on March 17, tourists and passers-by will be able to admire this popular tourist attraction that will display the colors of the Cuban flag for the first time.

On March 18, Niagara Falls will wear the colors of the Lone Star flag between 10:00 and 10:15 pm. This great waterfall, located on the border between the United States and Canada, will be illuminated in red, white and blue to celebrate the bonds of friendship between Cuba and Canada, as well as to pay homage to the great Cuban poet José María Heredia. This show can also be seen live on the website https://www.earthcam.com/canada/niagarafalls/?cam=niagarafalls_str.

Both events, organized by the Cuban Embassy in Canada, will serve to highlight the 80 years of uninterrupted relations between the two countries, as well as the will to continue promoting and diversifying bilateral ties.
