Europe for Cuba calls on all those in solidarity and active media supporting Cuba to participate in the Third International Solidarity Meeting, which will take place in the Italian city of Venice on July 4, 5, and 6, 2025.
The main objective of this meeting is to continue strengthening unity among those in solidarity with Cuba within and from Europe, and to build new ties with various associations, institutions, public figures, and media outlets (both mainstream and alternative) across the five continents who are committed to defending the Cuban Revolution, fighting disinformation, and opposing the criminal media and economic blockade imposed on the Caribbean nation for over six decades.
Following the experiences of the two previous meetings in Seville and Bilbao, and given the heavy price that the Cuban people continue to pay due to the brutal intensification of the U.S. blockade — including Cuba’s inclusion on the unjust and unilateral list of state sponsors of terrorism — we believe it is our duty to once again gather all forces in solidarity with Cuba, including those fighting from the media frontlines for a better world, driven by justice and truth in opposition to imperialism.
Expressing our strongest support for Cuba during this meeting — whether in person or virtually — is an urgent necessity as we face the lies and slanders of Western media. In these times, when fascism is revealing its most grotesque face to the world, this meeting will also allow us to raise our voices in defense of all peoples exploited by this common enemy, and to demand the inalienable respect for their independence and self-determination, as is the case of the brotherly people of Palestine, currently facing one of the greatest ethnic cleansing campaigns in human history.
We call on all those who wish to join this international gathering to participate and organize joint activities during these three days — both from Venice and from other locations and platforms in their respective countries. We also urge the consulates and embassies of brotherly nations to join this initiative and help make Venice a space where the voices of the peoples of the so-called Global South can be heard.
The success of these days of solidarity with Cuba in Venice will depend on your commitment and determination in this effort for Cuba, against the blockade and the media war, and against imperialism.
