New Delhi, December 22, 2021. An outstanding group of Indian parliamentarians held a friendship meeting at the Cuban Embassy, where they were received by the Head of the Diplomatic Mission, Alejandro Simancas, who welcomed them and reiterated the message of friendship and solidarity of Cuba and its National Assembly of People's Power.
He also highlighted the work carried out by the Cuban legislative body and the existence of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with India.
The Indian deputies represented both parliamentary chambers, the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, as well as different political forces and states of India, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
During their speeches, they coincided in highlighting the history of friendship between Cuba and India and the willingness to work for the strengthening of bilateral relations and in particular, for the establishment of a dialogue and inter-parliamentary ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation.
The meeting was organized by the India-Latin America Friendship Association and was attended by its Vice President, PS Anand.
