Considering the serious situation of the incidence of the new coronavirus in Austria, Croatia, and Slovenia, the Consular Section informs its clients that:
1. The customer service offered in our consular offices is suspended as of Monday, 16 March until Wednesday, 1 April 2020.
2. The consular services will continue to be provided (except in the case of passport renewal) by means of the postal service paying through bank transfers, in that case that will depend on the employment regime and operation adopted in the future by the companies that usually provide the postal service and the banking institutions of the countries in our jurisdiction.
3. Regarding Cuban citizens residing in these countries who will need passport renewal of their Cuban passport in the period mentioned in paragraph 1, they are requested to previously arrange the appointment with our office per e-mail or telephone.
4. Travelers who have already acquire the tourist card to travel to Cuba and decide not to travel or are affected by decisions to cancel flights and close borders, may keep the tourist card and call our offices to be informed about the validity and use of the tourist card in a future trip to Cuba.
We reiterate to our clients and, especially, to the Cuban resident community, to comply with all possible protection and security measures and decisions taken by the governments of Austria, Croatia, and Slovenia, to be duly informed and to keep a responsible and consistent attitude considering the current circumstances.
The Consular Section appreciates the understanding of its clients, as these decisions correspond to the existing international health emergency situation.
