The Hague, October 29, 2025. The international community reaffirmed its condemnation of the U.S. blockade against Cuba, within the framework of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, by 165 votes to only 7 against.
The support offered by numerous friends in different parts of the world, including the Netherlands and Luxembourg, contributes each year to achieving this important result, which offers new lights of hope to the Cuban people.
Although the United States government maintains and increasingly reinforces the blockade, the support of the international community conveys confidence to the Cuban people that victory will be achieved sooner rather than later.
The Cuban Embassy in the Netherlands expresses its gratitude to the supportive friends who have been supporting Cuba and have expressed their irrevocable condemnation of the blockade and the unjust inclusion of Cuba on the spurious and unilateral List of Countries that Supposedly Sponsor Terrorism.
The message was clear and forceful: Cuba is not alone, and all voices shout in unison: #TumbaElBloqueo.
