The honorable Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of Kerala, received the Cuban ambassador to India, Alejandro Simancas, in view of the historical ties of friendship that have existed between our country and that Indian state. The meeting took place at the Kerala government headquarters in the city of Thiruvananthapuram, capital of this Indian state.
The exchange was developed in an atmosphere of fraternity and was propitious to evaluate the possibilities of cooperation in areas such as health, sports and education; as well as the potentialities for the development of economic ties and cooperation in general.
The Cuban Ambassador also held meetings with members of the Cabinet of the state government. In all the exchanges they ratified the historical ties of friendship and solidarity between Cuba and Kerala.
