Kuwait, October 23, 2016. The weekly magazine The Times of Kuwait in its print edition a publishes a report about the interview to the Web site CubaVSBloqueo by Josefina Vidal, Director General for the United States at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( Minrex) of Cuba, in which she emphasized that there are still many outstanding issues whose solution will take time which will require legislation, policies and practices are eliminated,inherited from the period of open hostility and confrontation that characterized the US projection towards Cuba for more than five decades.
In the interview Josefina noted that in addition to eliminating the blockade, the United States must return to Cuban sovereignty the territory illegally occupied in the Naval Base in Guantanamo; modify the preferential immigration treatment that Washington granted to Cuban citizens, expressed in the policy wet feet, dry feet, the Cuban Adjustment Act and the Parole Program for Cuban Medical Professionals.
The report by the Times of Kuwait in addition to addressing all topics of the interview of Josefina Vidal, refers to recent statement by the President of France Francois Hollande in which he urged the United States to end the blockade against Cuba
