The League for Lebanese Women's Rights and the José Martí Arab-Latin American Solidarity Association of Lebanon actively participate in the WIDF World Congress in Cuba and denounce the genocide against Gaza
The president of the League for Lebanese Women's Rights, Aida Nasrallah, and the president of the José Martí Arab-Latin American Solidarity Association of Lebanon, Wafica Mehdi Ibrahim, were actively present at the World Congress of the International Democratic Women's Federation, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary in Cuba.
The figure of Vilma Espín, historic president of the Federation of Cuban Women, occupied a central place during the meeting and her participation in the WIDF was highlighted, promoting international recognition of the achievements of Cuban women.
On the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with Palestine, the WIDF issued an express condemnation of the extermination carried out by Tel Aviv, not only in Gaza but also in the occupied West Bank.
Teresa Amarelle, president of the Federation of Cuban Women, was present, as were more than 100 delegates from 20 countries celebrating the 80th anniversary of the WIDF in Cuba.
