Lebanese and Palestinian personalities express support for Cuba

Beirut, November 12, 2021. Intellectuals, politicians and trade unionists from Lebanon and Palestine expressed their support for Cuba in the face of US plans to destabilize the Caribbean nation, Prensa Latina learned today from diplomatic sources.

The heterogeneous group formed by 35 Lebanese and Palestinian personalities adhered to the Cuban people's rejection of the counterrevolutionary movement with which Washington is putting into practice its so-called soft coup strategy.

Cuba is beginning to revive its social life, its public spaces and services, schools, tourism and other sectors of the economy, highlights an appeal to friends and sympathizers of the Cuban Revolution, to which Prensa Latina had access.

Those who bet on the failure of socialism in the Antillean nation and saw in July 11 a way to overthrow the Revolution, are frustrated and in a hurry in their plans, the document refers.

With the call for a march with the same intentions next Monday, the enemies of Cuba intend to destabilize and provoke incidents that could lead to a social outbreak and a subsequent U.S. military intervention.

Although the organizers of this supposedly peaceful march have no social base in the Caribbean country, their training, financing and support from abroad, especially from the United States, is notorious. (Embacuba Líbano/Prensa Latina)
