The Lebanese Communist Party advocates strengthening bilateral ties with the PCC
Cuban Ambassador Jorge León Cruz received the Secretary General of the Lebanese Communist Party, Hanna Ghareeb, who ratified the will to continue working for the strengthening of bilateral ties with the Communist Party of Cuba.
During the meeting, the necessary arrangements were made to facilitate and guarantee a forthcoming visit to Cuba by a delegation of the PCL, in response to an invitation from the PCC.
The party leader, accompanied by the PCL's Head of Foreign Relations, Omar Aldib, and the President of the Lebanon-Cuba Friendship Association, Maurice Nohra, stressed the firm Cuban position in support of the issues of the peoples of the region and their right to national liberation and resistance to occupation, as well as ratified the PCL's support for the Cuban government and people in their struggle against the unjust blockade imposed by the United States for more than 60 years.
The Cuban diplomat reaffirmed Cuba's principled position in support of the rights of independence and sovereignty of the Lebanese people in the face of the Zionist attacks, which have the full support of the United States, which also uses and abuses the right of veto to block Security Council resolutions demanding a ceasefire by Israel against Palestine.
