The Lebanese-Cuban Friendship Association condemns the new US measures against Cuba
The president of the Lebanese-Cuban Friendship Association, Maurice Nohra, sent Cuban Ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz, a message of support for the Cuban people in which he states that "after 64 years of economic blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba and its people, the Trump administration's decisions to tighten the embargo by imposing tariffs on any entity that sells oil to Cuba constitute an escalation equivalent to war, aimed at suffocating the Cuban people.
The victorious Cuban Revolution and its steadfastness in the face of the blockade and US threats have set an example for America and the world.
We, in the Lebanese-Cuban Friendship Association, are witnesses to the ferocity of the Zionist-imperialist enemy against our people and our region.
We strongly condemn this policy and the decisions taken by Washington and express our full solidarity with the Cuban people and their leaders, who have a long history of protecting and supporting Cuba and defending its national sovereignty and its people.
