The Lebanese Democratic Youth Union honors the Cuban combatants who fell during the US regime's terrorist aggression against Venezuela and expresses its support for the Cuban Revolution in the face of threats of imperialist aggression
In coordination with the Lebanese Communist Party and as part of the strengthening of close ties with the Young Communist League (UJC), the Lebanese Democratic Youth Union (UJDL) held a vigil and demonstrated in front of the Cuban Embassy in Beirut to honor the Cuban combatants who fell during the US regime's terrorist aggression against Venezuela and to express its support for the Cuban Revolution in the face of threats of imperialist aggression.
Below is the message expressed by UJDL leader Maya Sbaiti at the beginning of the event in front of the Cuban diplomatic mission:
Cuba is not a geographically isolated island, but an integral part of the peoples of the world.
Cuban blood runs through Lebanon, Palestine, and Latin America. It is the daughter of Fidel and Che Guevara, and its history is that of a resilient people.
From the heart of this struggle, we say to those who fell defending Venezuela and its sovereignty that we will not forget them. We will not forget their stance against destructive conspiracies, especially their defense of President Maduro and against the attack on elected leaders in an attempt to break the will of the Venezuelan people and halt their national project.
And from here, we say to the Cuban people: You are not alone."
