Lebanese Maronite University advocates closer ties with Latin American countries

At the invitation of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), the ambassadors of GRULAC (Venezuela, Chile, Uruguay, Cuba, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico) paid a visit to the university.

They were received by Reverend Talal Hachem, President of USEK, Dr. Rima Mattar, Vice President for International Affairs and Global Initiatives and Roberto Khatlab, Director of Latin America and Cultural Center, who gave a broad overview of the university and expressed their willingness and interest in strengthening cooperation links with Latin American universities.

During the tour of the University Campus, it was possible to confirm the high quality of the study programs of the different faculties and their educational programs.

USEK, with an enrollment of more than 8 thousand students, is the first university created in 1938 as a private non-profit institution by the monks of the Lebanese Maronite Order (OLM), who have been placing their values in education since the 17th century.
