In Lebanon, the Cuban Head of Mission honors the commemoration of the Palestinian Martyrs Day

The head of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Lebanon, Jorge León Cruz, attended the commemoration ceremony for the Martyrs' Day of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, chaired by Ali Faisal, Secretary General of the DFLP, and with the participation of leaders and members of the Palestinian community residing in Beirut.

The ceremony began with the notes of the national anthem of Palestine and the subsequent speeches of a Lebanese deputy, the Cuban ambassador and the secretary general of the FDLP.

Hassem Kassem, Lebanese deputy of the AMAL Movement, gave a historical overview of the struggle of the Palestinian people together with the Lebanese people in the confrontation with the common Israeli enemy.

In his words, the Cuban diplomat considered it an honor to have been invited to this glorious commemoration, stressed that the martyrs are still alive and constitute an example of belonging to the Palestinian Homeland and ratified Cuba's support for the achievement of an independent Palestinian State.

Ali Faisal, Secretary General of the FDLP gave an overview of the struggle waged during all these years, the sacrifices and achievements made, as well as confirmed the decision to continue fighting until the full recovery of the territories occupied by Israel.

The emotional ceremony concluded with the laying of a wreath at the martyrs' mausoleum in the Sabra and Chatila cemetery, located in one of the Palestinian camps in Beirut.
