In Lebanon Denounces Threats of Aggression Against Cuba and Condemns the U.S.-Imposed Energy Blockade Against the Caribbean Island
Ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz received Ali Faisal, Vice President of the Palestinian National Council and Deputy Secretary-General of the PLDF, accompanied by Arkan Bader and Suhail Al-Natour, leaders of the PLDF.
The Palestinian delegation condemned the policies of President Donald Trump, who is attempting to revive the Monroe Doctrine and issues constant threats of military aggression against Cuba and engages in piracy in the Caribbean, as well as condemning the aggressions against Iran and Lebanon, and against all those who refuse to submit to the logic of hegemony and colonialism, and who resist the Israeli-U.S. “New Middle East” project.
The Cuban diplomat expressed his gratitude for the extensive information provided to him regarding the implementation of the national dialogue aimed at working toward the elimination of the Israeli occupation, as well as the situation faced by Palestinian refugees in Lebanon due to the attacks and displacements.
In addition, the Cuban ambassador expressed gratitude for the expressions of solidarity and condemnation of the U.S. energy blockade and threats of aggression against Cuba, and both parties agreed to continue working for the unrestricted support of the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to an independent and sovereign state, internationally recognized within the pre-1967 borders and with its capital in East Jerusalem.
