Lebanon Participates in the 5th Patria Colloquium in Havana
The pan-Arab network Al Mayadeen is participating with an exhibition booth at the 5th International Patria Colloquium on Digital Communication, taking place from April 16 to 18 in Havana—a special edition honoring the 100th anniversary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, who toured all the exhibition booths at the event, where some 150 delegates from more than twenty countries will discuss the urgent need to rethink digital communication—a battleground against projects of domination that threaten peoples, particularly in Latin America— in the face of the return of the imperial interventionist agenda, under the slogan “Patria con Fidel,” in tribute to the centennial of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
At the opening of the Colloquium, President Ghassan Ben Jeddou sent a message of support to Cuba, highlighting the role of the Global South in the communications battle and honoring the legacy of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro.
