Lebanon present at the 2nd International Homeland Colloquium
A Lebanese representation, chaired by Ghassan Ben Jeddou, president of the Al Mayedeen Pan-Arab Network and composed of Wafica Mehdi, director of Latin America and other directors, participates in the opening of the II Patria International Colloquium.
The colloquium is being held at the Che Guevara Hall of Casa de las Americas, coinciding with the 131st anniversary of the founding of the newspaper Patria, an emblematic publication created and directed by Cuba's National Hero, José Martí, who foresaw the crucial role of the press in the defense of truth, unity and the struggle for Cuba's independence.
Organized by the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC), the event is attended by 58 experts in political communication and left-wing influencers from 14 countries, in addition to 120 national guests, including press professionals who focus on issues of disinformation, hate speech and digital blockade.
